Why can't I make a printable version of a test in Firefox?
Problems & Solutions, Firefox/Mozilla Add commentsI have encountered an issue with some Mac's running Firefox and trying to create a print version of a test. Read More! if you have this problem.
Follow up:
When you click on Print under the Test menu, your browser gives you the following message:

If you get a screen that says something like, "You are attempting to open a file called "print_test_cf7.cfm" What do you want to do with this file?" followed by a choice to open it with a specific program or save it to your computer. My first reaction was to save it to the desktop like you would with a .pdf file. This does not work - it will create a file that thinks it should be opened with Dreamweaver (a web page editing program).
To fix this problem: Select the choice to open the file with a specific program. You will be presented with a file browser window. Click on the Applications folder (you may need to click on your hard drive icon first) and choose the application Preview. After you have selected the appropriate application, check the box that says something like "Do this with all files like this from now on." Click OK, and the problem should be fixed.
I can't show you specific error messages because this totally fixed the problem on my machine! Leave a comment if the error that you get is different or if these steps don't work for you.

I prefer to use "control-click" and "open in new frame" and "file print" while in the test. This does not leave a collection of oddly named pdfs on your desktop.
